Under the mission โ€˜Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharatโ€™, Odisha is the paired state of Maharashtra. Grade 3 explored Odisha by integrating their learning about lifestyle. Our students got an opportunity to meet Ms. Namita Das. She is a native of Odisha and lives in Koraput, a town in Odisha. Ms. Namita Das discussed the geographical features and climate of Odisha. She shared the information about the crops that grow in Odisha, the primary occupations of Odisha people, the clothing styles of people of Odisha. Students inquired about different festivals, monuments, rivers, and mountains of Odisha. They were amazed by the fact that despite the small size, Odisha has different climates and landforms that can be observed at different places.

They were very curious to know about the ‘Rathyatra’of Poori. As Ms. Das very well articulated her presentation, students could enjoy every second of it. They were very curious during the session. She tried to answer all the queries raised during and after the lecture.
