Secondary students enthusiastically participated in various activities conducted on 12th July for celebrating world population day. Students were very well aware about the consequences of population explosion and how it was important to control the world population. The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Rights and choices are the answers’. Grade 9 and 10th students created presentations and spoke about the importance and possible ways of controlling world population. They also created awareness about the consequences of population explosion on our planet and the struggle to share the available scarce resources. Student from grade 6 to 8 created posters and composed poem to express the dire consequences and create awareness in the community. Students were supported and guided by their teachers that not only helped them understand the importance of this day but also was an opportunity to develop their creative skills.
