    Smit Toshniwal wins in ‘West Zone Junior Badminton Champion

    The former student of School Miss. Smit Toshniwal won the West Zone Badminton Junior Competition. The competition was organized by the Badminton Association of India. The competition was held from  9th to 11th October 2018 at Bilaspur Chattisgad.  She represented Maharashtra. Gold medals were bagged by Maharashtra team in both the Junior and Senior Badminton competitions. The players from Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra participated in this tournament. The winners and runner-up teams of west zone championship will be qualified for the main National Championship. Smit defeated Tanisha Crasto in semi-final by 21-17, 21-16 and  reached in the finals. Smit won the match against Aruni Chavan from Madhya Pradesh by scoring 21-15, 10-4 in the finals
