Wildlife Week Celebrated by RIS Students

The world is facing multifarious challenges in conservation of wildlife but still trying to protect the critical species and eco-regions for the last many decades. The 67th Wildlife Week is celebrated across India between 2nd to 8th October with an aim to arouse the general awakening of the people to protect and preserve the flora and fauna of the country and to take some critical steps since 1957.During this week, discussions, lectures, awareness programs, virtual tour & painting activities were organized at RIS to make students understand the importance of wildlife conservation. Grade 9 and 10 students made a presentation to explain the importance of wild life, ways to protect and steps taken by government to protect wild life. Grade 6 to 8 explored the importance of wild life and used art skills to show their love for the same. Few of the kids even shared a story about their pet and how do they feel.Wildlife Week aims to spark a movement that will sow the seeds of empathy and initiate a nation-wide momentum to take necessary action to safeguard India’s vanishing wildlife.It is truly said that “Wildlife in the world can only be protected by the love of compassionate hearts in the world
