World Gratitude Day Celebrated at RIS

World Gratitude Day has been designed to bring the whole world together in a day that is all about being thankful. World Gratitude Day joins organizations, nationals, and individuals in sharing their gratitude in a number of different ways. A little bit of gratitude can go a very long way? It is important for people to feel appreciated for everything that they do. There are also many other benefits that are associated with giving gratitude. Did you know that it is actually good for your own health too? Being thankful results in a whole host of emotional and physical benefits. For instance, you can boost your immune system, lower stress levels and improve sleep by being thankful. Renowned psychologist Dr. Robert Emmons demonstrated that gratitude is essential for physical and mental health. RIS students extended their appreciation to scientist and mathematician for the contribution to Science and many aspects of our lives. They made a short presentation to express their gratitude to scientist and mathematician. Some of the students drew portrait to express their gratitude to them. Students expressed thankful to the ignited minds as without their work, we wouldnโ€™t be enjoying many of the things that make our modern world possible. From the houses that we live in, the food that we eat, the cars that we drive, to our favorite electronic gadgets, science and the technologies it has spawned make our lives easier. Students also shared how throughout history, the world has produced great scientific minds who have had an invaluable influence on society. They shared how curiosity is the compass that can lead to our passions. If we follow it then we wonโ€™t be disappointed. There is always something to be thankful for. So, letโ€™s take deep breath on this day and be THANKFULNESS
