Every year, 21st February is celebrated as International Mother Language Day. Celebrating Mother Language Day is about promoting linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism around the world. Our language is our cultural identity. International Mother Language Day was celebrated at Rasbihari International School. On this occasion Oriya, Punjabi, Gujarati, Kutchi, Marathi speaking parents enthusiastically participated in an informal interactive session with the students from class 6th to 8th class and shared the history of their language, commonly used words and sentences in an interesting way. Mrs. Karmi Majhi introduced Oriya language in grade 8. Mrs. Navjyot Kaur Ghatode and Shri. Ashish Anand introduced Punjabi language to grade 6 and 8 students. In 6th grade Mrs. Manisha Patel shared about Gujrati culture and a few commonly spoken words. Mrs. Deepali Maheshwari shared Kachchhi language and the region where it is spoken in India in grade 7. She also introduced the art of Kachchhi embroidery and the regional culture to the children. Mrs. Lata Dhanwate spoke about the importance of Marathi language and contribution of saints in the culture of Maharashtra in grade 7. All the students, headmistress, teachers and staff of the school thanked all the parents.
