Our school organised a Disaster Management demonstration taken up by the civil defense office for conducting a drill for students of Grade 6 to Grade 10 for rescue, and drill for relief of the victims against injury, fire etc. Students learnt the use of fire extinguisher and how stretchers and relief measures can be given to the victims in case of any emergency situation. Mr. Manohar Jagtap with his team trained the students and practically trained them to carry the victims during emergency. They also showed a presentation to show the different types of knots that can be used for rescue and first aid techniques to be given in case of fracture,snake bites, injury and sickness. The students cleared their doubts they had about the relief measures to be taken during various emergency situations. It was a great awareness session as our students voluntary participated to demonstrate various situations. This was indeed a very informative and valuable session.
