To encourage the imagination and creativity of our young learners and to signify the Makar Sankranti festival, we at Rasbihari International school organized ‘Kite Making Event’ on 12th January 2023, Thursday for our tiny tots of class Nursery to Sr.Kg..
Kite is associated with the feeling of freedom and joy. Students demonstrated their creativity and imagination while making and decorating kites using different shapes,colors,decorative material. Students explored a variety of mediums like thumb printing, water coloring, ear bud painting and used decorative material like colorful buttons, kundan, sparkle, bindi, ribbons etc. on their kites. It was a wonderful platform to foster the new creative ideas and imagination of young minds.
Teacher and students sang a variety of rhymes, watched stories of kite festival
[Makar Sankranti] and even discussed the ways of taking care of animal and birds and kept some uncooked grains like rice,wheat,groundnut, and water out for birds. Teachers shared the importance as in winter, when the body needs heat, then this sesame and jaggery works well to provide heat and energy. It depicts the start of a period of peace, prosperity, and goodwill. Students’ efforts and enthusiasm were commendable, and teachers encouraged and appreciated all through tagging their names on profile and attitudes displayed in the class.
It was a wonderful day with kites and children with a big smile on their faces!!!
