On account of Janmashtami, Rasbihari International School conducted a variety of activities engaging the students in creating a variety of art forms throughout the week. A virtual’Pot Decoration Event’ was conducted for Pre-primary students. All students were dressed up as Radha and Krishna. Students decorated pots of different shapes and sizes, using different decorative material. During this event, the creativity displayed by the students was commendable and admirable. This event was a tribute to the Potters of India. With an aim to develop hand-eye coordination, this activity also facilitated to boost student’s confidence, creativity, interest in art and to develop a sense of design and color. Students were shown stories of Lord Krishna which they enjoyed watching. Mrs. Ratna Adke, parent of Mast. Spandan B. Adke sang a Janmashtami song for the students. Students from grades 6 to 10 participated in a variety of art forms that portrayed various characters of Krishna’s life. They were guided by Mr.Somnath Dharbale. They made artifacts on Krishna’s life using primary resources available at home, carried out face painting activity which involved their siblings and family members too, they exhibited their creativity by painting different symbols of Krishna’s life. A team of secondary students presented shlokas guided by Mrs.Rupali Kulkarni and with the guidance of Mr.Kewal Gujrathi, they compiled a dance form on how frontline warriors are today’s Krishna and are contributing towards overcoming the crisis. Under the guidance of Shri.SubashDassakar the school choir put up a musical presentation. Though the event was online the entire atmosphere was filled with the spirit of mirth, happiness, and love for students as well as the parents. The catastrophe of the online/ virtual learning could not curb the enthusiasm of the students in participating in different activities. Mrs.Gauri Joshi, the event owner collaborated well with the co-scholastic, scholastic team, students, and parents to make this event a memorable one. The active participation of students and parents made this event outstanding.
