June 19 is celebrated as National Reading Day across the country. The day is celebrated in honour of the father of India’s Library Movement, the late P.N. Panicker. Rasbihari International School celebrated Reading week stressing on the importance of reading and emphasizing on the improvement of reading abilities in students. Various online activities like peer reading of favorite books, sharing a book review, sharing their summary on a book or read story, teachers reading out extracts from books, introducing literary work of various authors and poets, character descriptions are been taken across grades to encourage and inculcate reading habit in students. These and many more interesting and engaging activities are conducted year long and not confined for a week. “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you will go.”
