Marathi Poetry Reading Competition was organized at Rasbihari International School to mark Marathi Language Conservation Fortnight. The competition was held in two groups: Junior group comprising of grade 6 and 7 students and the Senior group of students from class 8 and 9. The students are always introduced to many well known and great poets during their regular teaching learning time but to mark this special occasion literary works from Marathi literature written by Kusumagraj, Balakavi, Suresh Bhat, Vinda Karandikar, Swatantryaveer Savarkar, Shanta Shelke, Bahinabai, Indira Sant were recited and presented by the students. Sai Kale won the first and Yashita Salunke andRevati Nerkar won the second place in the Junior group. Samrudhi Patil from grade 9 won the first place in the secondary group while Shubham Padvi won the second place. There was a lot of enthusiasm seen among the students in reading and presenting the poems. Mrs. Rohini Nerkar and Ms.Ishwari Dasakkar judged the presentations. The entire event was coordinated by the Marathi Teacher Mrs. Rupali Kulkarni.
